Situated at the foot of the old town, amidst a garden of olive trees, this church was built in 1890 in memory of the heroes who fell during the liberation of Ulcinj in 1878, on the site of a 15th-century Orthodox monastery. The latter had been built on a former mosque dating from the late 17th century. The church's architecture is characterized by a sober exterior, contrasting with the richness of the frescoes and beautiful iconostasis.
