The former French Embassy is located right in the center of Cetinje. It was built in 1908 by architect André Saffrey in a neo-Renaissance style with eclectic 19th-century influences, combining elegance, symmetry and decorative elements from the Italian and French Renaissance. Its mission was to represent the French Empire in the region and maintain diplomatic relations. It closed in 1918 when the city lost its status as capital. Today, it is a local library that is not open to tourists.

Bâtiment resté dans son jus, c'est actuellement un édifice public (une bibliothèque) et vous ne pouvez la visiter, juste de l'extérieur et dans le hall d'entrée! à remarquer les mosaïques et les boiseries d'époque, sa porte et les inscription d'architecte sur les grilles. Incontournable de votre visite pédestre de la ville et de la tournée des ambassades et légations anciennes.
