Main square with a beautiful fountain and the bronze statue of Juan del Corral, hero of the province's independence
Surrounded by coffee terraces, the main square faces the cathedral built between 1797 and 1837. It has a beautiful 450-year-old fountain and the bronze statue of Juan del Corral, hero of the independence of the province of Antioquia and the Republic of Colombia. The shaded park has vendors selling local crafts and sweets, whose main product is tamarind. It is a nice place to rest and observe the local life with a fresh fruit juice.
