In 1845, by decree of the Imperial Court and with the help of Tsar Nicholas I, a forest house was built on the Punkaharju ridge to accommodate travellers visiting the nature park. This building is now a romantic hotel. 24 rooms and 15 cottages on the shores of the lake. A restaurant and a sun terrace. Protected coves with small sandy beaches. The moraine ridges, with their pine forests, are an excuse for beautiful walks.
