Founded in 1935 by the writer Elsa Heporauta, Kalevala jewellery has always been a women's business. Whether at their creation or now, since the company is still run by an association of 4,000 women. In 1963, for the first time in the company, a woman was at the head of design: Paula Häiväoja. Always inspired by and connected with nature and the ancient symbols of the Kalevala, their creations have a unique style. Each of them carries its own history and is linked to Scandinavian culture.
