THE ROUND TOWERS (БАШНИ)

In the th century, the Byzantine built Aluston fortification. In the th century, the Genoese altered its style by adding a citadel and three towers. Today only two of them are still visible. The first, Ashaga Kule (the Low Tower at the end of 15 Aprelia Street), marked the southern part of the fortifications. The second, Orta Kule (Middle tower), is located in Volodarskogo street. It is a pity that neither of the two has been protected from the harm of time.
