DYTYNETS (ДИТИНЕЦЬ)

A long time ago, on this hill, the fortress of Chernihiv was finally destroyed in 1799. The visit of this territory is ironically called by the inhabitants the "cannon promenade in canon". In fact, in 1911, the line that corresponded to the ancient ramparts was decorated with twelve eighteenth-century canons. The territory of the park is dotted with ancient monuments. There is the church of the Transfiguration (Спасо-Преображенський собор) with its five golden domes. It was rebuilt in the early th century and was rebuilt in 1792-1798. Inside it is the tomb of several princes of kiévienne Rus. Not far away, you can see the church of the Saints-Boris-et-Gleb (Борисогл i бський собор), built in the early th century and rebuilt several times in the th century. The church of Saint-Boris-et-Glèbe borrows from Romanesque architecture that blends with Byzantine influence, testifying to the wealth of Russian exchanges kiévienne before the Tatar invasion. On the left, the Chernihiv College in Baroque style; from the th century, it was created thanks to the financial support of Ivan Papa. A period class was reconstituted on the second floor. The college also houses an interesting collection of popular icons, icons that even the poorest farmers own at home. Works by local artists, these performances were forbidden by clergy but nevertheless widespread. The saints and scenes represented disagree with the official art promoted by the clergy, each profession representing its patron saint. From the old citadel, there is a magnificent view of the Desna and the Boldiny hills with the three monasteries Eletski, Ouspenski and Troitsko-Illinski.
