CANYONS DE NIVICA

This natural site (Kanionet e Nivicës) is superb, wild and still little visited by tourists. Starting from the abandoned hamlet of Nivica, gorges follow one another for around 40 kilometers, forming one of the longest canyons in Europe. Beware: the last section of the access road is difficult. For those who wish, the Gjirokastra tourist office organizes a day trip into the canyons on request. This is definitely a must-see if you're in the area!
