LIBOHOVA PLANE TREE

This 32-metre-high, 3-metre-diameter tree (Rrapi i Libohovës) has been on the street since the ^16th century. This Oriental plane(Platanus orientalis) is said to be over five hundred and sixty years old. Covering an area of 1,000^m2, its branches provide refreshing shade. You can enjoy the shade on the terrace of the nearby Libohova bar-restaurant. Albania's oldest trees are said to be three thousand years old, planted in Ksamil. However, this information needs to be verified by experts in dendrology!
