Family-run hotel next to the Mirahori Mosque, in the Old Bazaar district. Designer rooms, hearty breakfast, parking.
This small, family-run hotel with a French name enjoys an ideal location, south of the superb Old Bazaar district (150 m west of the Mirahori mosque). Unfortunately, neither the staff nor the owners speak French. But this old, renovated late 19th-century house is indeed "very beautiful", with superb, well-equipped rooms (good bedding, spotless bathrooms, air-conditioning, WiFi, wooden floors, exposed stonework and storage space). Beware, however, that the least expensive rooms are in the basement. Hearty breakfast.
