In Managalem, this is one of Berat's most popular restaurants. Authentic, tasty Albanian cuisine at low prices.
A must in Berat. This cute little restaurant with its five or six tables is set in a courtyard in the heights of Mangalem. As the name suggests, the menu is 100% home-made: fergesë (tomato and bell pepper casserole with cheese), pite me kungull (pumpkin pie), tavë kosi (baked lamb and rice)... Everything is very good, and there are plenty of options for vegetarians. The chef, Lili, and her son are very friendly, as are the prices. But be sure to book in summer, as this is now a very popular address.
