This museum is dedicated to the crimes of the Communist regime in the Shkodra region. Visit the former prison cells.
Created in 2013, this museum (Vendi i Deshmisë dhe Kujtesës) is dedicated to the crimes perpetrated in the region by the Communist regime from 1944 to 1992. It is housed in a former Franciscan monastery converted into a political police station under Enver Hoxha's dictatorship. Of the 136 people murdered by the regime in the Shkodra region, around 40 died here. A cell pays tribute to Catholic priest Zef Pllumi (1924-2007), the "Albanian Alexander Solzhenitsyn".

Autant la maison des feuilles à Tirana est décevante, autant ce petit musée sur l'histoire récente de l'Albanie nous a séduit. La visite est émouvante et édifiante. Les support vidéo fonctionnent, le personnel est présent.
