Private museum. Collections of Albanian archaeology and modern art, including portraits by Kolë Idromeno (1860-1939).
Located in the busy Rue de Kavaja, above a Raiffeisen bank branch, this small 600m2 private museum (Museu Mezuraj) opened in 2007. It houses the collections of Eduart Mëzuraj (b. 1959), a patron of the arts who made his fortune in the mining sector. There is an archaeological collection (ancient objects from Durrës and the south of the country) and a collection of modern Albanian art, including sculptures by Adnan Bushati (b. 1957) and, above all, paintings by the pioneer Kolë Idromeno (1860-1939).
