AVENUE MISSION

If you're not staying in Kenai, be sure to stop by on the long drive to Homer. At the end of Mission Avenue, there's a great spot to stop. Enjoy the breathtaking view of the Kenai Estuary and Cook Gulf. Turn around and look across to the three active volcanoes, Mount Redoubt and Mount Iliamna, which circle the Aleutian Island chain, and Mount Augustine, on the island of the same name. A striking spectacle punctuated by fumaroles on the summits of these active giants.
