DAWSON CITY MUSEUM

This museum traces the history of the town and provides a wealth of information about the time of the Klondike Gold Rush, between 1896 and 1899, which was the trigger for the construction of the town. In the former administrative building of the territory, more than 25,000 objects and artifacts bear witness to the mining era of the region that brought thousands of prospectors to the city. The Han first nations are also discussed in this museum, which is very interesting for anyone who is passionate about history, even though it is a bit old-fashioned.
