The "official" tourist office or Visitors Bureau has an agency in the center of town (the wooden shack with the grass roof!) where you can get maps and information about Anchorage, but also the rest of Alaska. If you still have the energy, you can also pick up all the brochures in the agency open every day at the south terminal of the airport (domestic flights) and in summer at the north terminal (international flights).
