If you like Italian-style coffee, you'll enjoy Originale, in downtown Anchorage. It's easy to fall into the Italian caricature in the U.S., but the point is to try excellent Italian espresso, paninis and huge pizzas and bruschettas prepared with - among other things - excellent Italian cured ham and good cheeses. There is also the red-white-green triplet salad with tomato, mozzarella, arugula and basil, a variety of soups and delicious Sicilian cannoli with pistachio filling. A nice place to have lunch.
