Located in the heart of Leucate's oyster-farming centre, the Maison de l'étang de Salses-Leucate (Salses-Leucate Lagoon House) contributes to the enhancement of our natural heritage. In its 120 m², the Maison de l'étang introduces visitors to the issues involved in protecting the lagoons, the flora and fauna that live there, the traditional fishing activities that still take place, shellfish farming... It also provides a better understanding of the threats this type of wetland face and encourages the public to make new or better efforts to protect the environment.
