Located in the heart of Leucate's oyster-farming center, the Maison de l'étang de Salses-Leucate (Salses-Leucate Lagoon House) contributes to the enhancement of our natural heritage. In its 120 m², the Maison de l'étang de Salses-Leucate introduces visitors to the issues involved in protecting the lagoons, the flora and fauna that live there, the traditional fishing activities that still take place there, shellfish farming... It also provides a better understanding of the threats facing this type of wetland, and encourages the public to make new or better efforts to safeguard this environment.
