This limestone plateau sits on the Leucate cliff, a promontory overlooking the Mediterranean and offering stunning views of the landscape. Because of its rich biodiversity, the eastern part of the plateau has been classified as a "Natura 2000" site. This listing ensures the protection of its fauna (ocellated lizard, red-eared wheatear, spotted pipit...) and flora (dry grasslands, scrubland, woods...). There are three signposted trails: the winegrower's trail (7 km), the shepherd's trail (5 km) and the lookout's trail (4.3 km).
