The first governor of the island of Vieques, between 1832 and 1843, was a Frenchman. His grave is located in Isabel Segunda. It is a small family cemetery, consisting of six graves located behind a house on a private property, which was once the hacienda La Patience, owned by the Le Guillou family. This is the oldest European cemetery identified on the island of Vieques. Only one large double grave has an inscription, that of Teofilo JJ Le Guillou and his wife, Guillermina Ana Susana Poncet de la Grave.
