This stone house dates back to Portuguese times and offers a delightful view of the Río de la Plata. Built in typical Portuguese architectural style, it currently houses a collection of over 5,000 ceramic objects(azulejos) dating from the late 18th to the 19th century. Interestingly, these azulejos do not come from Portugal, but from the town of Desvres in the Pas-de-Calais region, famous for its earthenware production. Paintings, sculptures and pottery also feature in the exhibition, making it a delightful visit.
