Designed by Mamoru Yamada, and built in 1964 for the Tokyo Olympic Games, this 131 meters tower which rises in the sky of Kyoto is the highest building of the city. It owes its cylindrical shape to steel sheets welded together. It offers an incredible view of Kyoto, between temples and concrete. Apart from the observatory, it is also a place of leisure and shopping. The basement is full of stores selling specialties. Workshops are offered on the2nd floor, to learn how to make sushi, for example.

Pas de réel intérêt mais le prix reste correct. Vue sympa sur la ville par beau temps. Située juste en face de la gare (n'est pas très jolie non plus sleon moi)

La tour se situe proche de la gare. Belle vue sur la ville en journée.
Prix très abordable (contrairement à la tour de Tokyo, qui elle est cependant bien plus haute)

Au sommet de la tour de Kyoto nous avons une superbe vue sur tous les temples au loin de la ville. Des jumelles d'observations accompagnées de cartes de repérage permettent de situer les lieux touristiques très rapidement.
