Founded in 1601 by Tadaoki Hosokawa (1563-1645), a disciple of Sen No Rikyū (master of tea art) he presents several points of interest. First, a Ihokuken room that comes from the residence of Rikyū Sen. Also, a maple vault prepares the entrance of the kōtōin. But the most impressive is the bambouseraie that gives a sifted light, and a strange green, like the diluted green tea of the ceremonial tea.
