Beautiful 650-year-old temple with three rooms available for rent, exclusively for women
This beautiful temple is part of the Nichiren sect and dates back 650 years. Three rooms, which are called shukubō, are available for rent, but only for women. The service is basic. It is not a hotel and you have to bring your pajamas and toiletries. The main reason for coming is the calm and the scenery: the moss gardens with the musical swaying of the bamboo groves are worth the trip. You have to book by online form and knowing a little Japanese will probably be useful because the staff does not speak English.
