The SL Taiju steam locomotive (named after the Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu, who went by this nickname) will take you back in time. Its steam whistle, accompanying thumping noises and slow, scenic ride all the way to Kinugawa onsen make it both a practical and fun means of transport.
