Tsumeb Museum with a collection of photographs and archives on the construction of the railway line.
Housed in the former German private school, the Tsumeb Museum welcomes nearly 15,000 visitors a year. Created in 1975 by Mr Ilse Schatz, it has a section devoted to minerals, a collection of photographs and archives on the construction of the railway line between Windhoek and Swakopmund, a room recounting events relating to the two World Wars and ethnological exhibitions on the San and Himba communities. It also displays World War I cannons found in the depths of Lake Otjikoto.
