Magnificent lodges and campsites nestled in the Ombokoro Mountains of the central plateau.

Okonjima means "place of baboons". However, this 220 km² nature reserve is most famous for its leopards and brown hyenas. It offers a wide range of accommodation, from private serviced campsites to luxury lodges. Exceptional cuisine, cosy lounge areas with indoor and outdoor fireplaces, tastefully decorated bungalows combining comfort and proximity to the bush... Despite frustration over our lost booking for a campsite, we ended up staying in one of the standard rooms (because the campsites were full) which was very nice. The lodge is beautiful and great for animal sightings from the porch. Great food, great service, and would highly recommend the leopard tracking.

Service just great, the setting could not be better. Food very good. Cabine first class with a scenic window to observe the wild life from yor bed. The guide promised to try to find us one leopard and showed us two, plus more animals than we remember. This was really a great experience.

Even though the lodge was way out of our budget, we are happy that we decided to stay here. The Leopard tracking will be a memory we will never forget! The lodge is very beautiful and the rooms are huge and equipped with massive windows overlooking the wild. From our experience the best address to go if you want to see Leopards up close. Without the Leopard tracking it would have probably not been worth so much money for us!
