Christian cemeteries from the colonial era, recalling the memories of Henri Maillo, a militant supporter of the Algerian cause.
It was one of the most important Christian cemeteries of the colonial period. Many memories including that of Henri Maillot, who is buried there. Originally from Clos-Salembier (El-Madania), he had fought for the Algerian cause by joining the maquis where he was killed a few months later by the French army. In his letter to the press, he wrote: "I am not a Muslim, but I am Algerian, of European origin. I consider Algeria to be my homeland."
