Over the past thirty-five years, Ascona has also become the Mecca of jazz. As one of the most prestigious jazz festivals in Switzerland, it is also the only one outside the United States to be sponsored by New Orleans. For several days, the city plunges into a very endearing Louisiana atmosphere. More than 250 guest musicians, 45,000 visitors, 185 concerts and 300 hours of music on the program!
