A monument of national interest, placed under the protection of the Confederation and the section of historical monuments of the canton of Vaud. In this large castle dating from the 10th century, there are several museums: the Historical Museum, which relates in particular the battle of Grandson (1476) and the Regional Museum. The castle is currently being renovated and will house a new museum and exhibition space in 2026. Every day, an individual visit is offered to discover the gardens, the towers and the covered way.
