CULTURE ACCESSIBLE
Geneva is a city that makes a point of making culture accessible to all, including people with disabilities. The Culture accessible Genève project, developed by the Cédille association, aims to promote accessible cultural events in the Geneva region. The project's website is adapted for people using voice readers or keyboard navigation. It lists the various accessibility measures available, such as sign language translation, audio-description and special reception areas. In addition, it offers a calendar of accessible cultural events, an inventory of the accessibility conditions of Geneva's cultural venues and a directory of professionals trained in these measures. The site has been awarded the AA+ accessibility label by Access For All, the independent labeling body for barrier-free websites in Switzerland. Culture accessible Genève's mission is to communicate accessible cultural proposals, promote the work of professionals in the sector and raise awareness of the importance of cultural accessibility.
