An unusual place on the river. La Barje is the quintessence of alternative Geneva: eco, socio, ethical. A caravan on the water's edge, an enchanting setting, local products and waste recycling, ethical drinks and concerts several nights a week. All this on deckchairs for a dreamlike flight in the middle of the city. A bit offbeat for an escape from the urban frenzy. There is the same concept, La Chaloupe à Vapeur, in front of the Museum of Sciences and the Garden of Nations.
