Arbon, a small town steeped in history on the southern shores of Lake Constance in Switzerland, offers visitors a wide range of activities. Its medieval castle, located in the heart of the old town, as well as its green spaces and three-kilometer lakefront path, are perfect for walking, cycling or rollerblading. Arbon is also an ideal starting point for exploring the Lake Constance cycle route, which links the three main inland lakes of Central Europe. History buffs can visit the Arbon Castle History Museum, which exhibits important archaeological finds, and the Saurer Museum, which displays restored vehicles from the famous Arbon manufacturer. The old town's fish market square regularly hosts markets, concerts and festivals. In summer, visitors can enjoy the long lake promenade, parks and swimming beach. In winter, Arbon is an ideal starting point for the skiing areas of Appenzell and Toggenburg.
