The Hotel Linde is the ideal place to stay and explore the Lake District. Situated a stone's throw from the superb Benedictine monastery, this family-run establishment offers good comfort and good service, with prices set at an honest average. Some rooms (the least expensive) have shared bathrooms. In the restaurant, the cuisine is guided by local produce and has won awards from several culinary guides.
