Service impeccable, qualité excellente. Endroit magnifique Juste dommage que la viande était commandée saignante, et était plutôt rosée. Dommage pour un Châteaubrillant mais je recommande!
Came here as a group of 30. The table arrangement was super cramped upstairs. Guess this was meant for 10 people where the 30 of us were accommodated. The restaurant can claim a paucity of space due to the Fastnacht rush but the onus of delibering the experience and not stuffing food into our gullet lies with the restaurant. Food was no great shakes - This restaurant had no butter to serve along with its bread. No vinegar, pesto, no olive oil etc. Just Pain bread! The soup that I was served was indecipherable - just could not figure out the ingredients. If you are someone who values food more than the experience of having it in old buildings, with staff that cannot communicate in english, then this is not your kind of place. This may be the Fastnacht effect but I am never coming to this place again.
Nous avons passé un très agréable réveillon à l'une des table du Restaurant. Les aliments étaient de qualité et les saveurs au rendez-vous ! Plusieurs serveurs ont fait l'effort de s'adresser à nous en français. L'ambiance était chaleureuse et la salle très bien décorée. Nous reviendrons.
My wife and I had dinner here during a 2 day stay in Basel and it was 10/10. The building is historic and very neat, the service was friendly and fast and we even had a nice chat with the owner. Most importantly the food was excellent- highly recommend the fondue bacchus.

We didn't have a reservation but were seated quickly. Staff were alll friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. Total luck that we walked past this place.

Was chosen by my colleagues while visiting Basel. Serves traditional Swiss food, we had the pumpkin soup, beef, fondue. Desserts are also worth trying.
Das Tatar war unter den Erwartungen. Kein Toast, keine Butter, Haselnussgranola habe ich nicht gefunden. Lieblos angerichtet. Hauchdünn geschnittener Käse. Das Seeteufelsaltimbocca war lauwarm aber gut. Das Gerstenrisotto war ok. Service sehr freundlich.
Wir waren hier um den Chateaubriand essen.Wir würden ganz herzlich empfangen und der Service war sehr nett und freundlich.Der Chateubriand war ausgezeichnet und gegart wie er bestellt würde.Ganz schöne Weinkarte.Wir werden wieder kommen.
This restaurant is the place to go to if you want to enjoy some very good Swiss food. The place is very beautiful and the furniture is mainly made of wood, which adds a really nice touch to the decoration. The food is excellent, the veal Zürich style and röstis were delicious and the service was really nice.
