These include Swiss masters Lory, Aberli, Lafond and Wocher, as well as 19th- and20th-century artists such as Ferdinand Hodler, Cuno Amiet, René Auberjonois and Paul Klee. The ticket can be combined with the Thun Panorama, featuring 360° panoramas painted by a 19th-century painter from Basel, Marquard Wocher.
CASTLE OF THUN (SCHLOSS THUN)
Read moreThe first part of the castle was built between 1180 and 1190 by the Dukes of Zähringen and then, from 1218, by the Kybourg family. The keep dates from the first period and the cap and the four corner towers from the second. The castle was passed from hand to hand until 2006, when it was bought by the city, which installed the regional court there until 2009. Today it houses the historical museum. The view from its towers is very beautiful.
