"Titanic, Return to Cherbourg": in 2012, the Cité de la Mer has expanded with this unique route in France, 100 years after the mythical stopover in Cherbourg. The first part takes place in the majestic Luggage Room dedicated to the history of European emigration. Then you embark in the space dedicated to the Titanic in a completely recreated atmosphere, soak up life on board, visit the gangways and relive the four days of the unique crossing. All this with the support of testimonials and stories of the passengers who made the legend of the Titanic. This attraction, like all the others in the complex, makes La Cité de la Mer one of the beacons of Normandy tourism today, with more than 2.8 million visitors since 2002.

You should also know that until 30 September 2014, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the landing, La Cité de la Mer is offering a new exhibition: "Cherbourg... and freedom came from the sea".
