YEDDI KUMBEZ

Yeddi Kumbez is a former cemetery located a little outside the city. It houses several tombs of the th century. Three of them are still perfectly preserved and allow to admire the interior paintings of domes. The painted stones reproduce the same patterns as the carpets of the time and are coloured by the same vegetable pigments that are based on five different hues. On the outside graves, you can notice small round holes filled with rainwater. According to local beliefs, if a bird comes to drink it, it means that the person buried under this stone has been absoute from his faults.
