Once you pass the Kamchik Pass, as the road descends into the Ferghana Valley, towards Kokand, you will notice an abundance of no or bread stands. Kokand bread, like all round breads in Uzbekistan, is the most famous bread in the country, along with Samarkand bread, and we can only advise you to taste it. It is called here the kokand patir: it is bigger than average, flatter too and very largely decorated. A whole work of art that melts in your mouth while it's still warm
