TCHAIKHANA KOKAND

At the entrance to the city, before joining the circular road that bounds the center, the Kokand chaikhana is an institution, and this is usually where all cab drivers stop for their lunch break. It has been around for a long time and is particularly famous for its plov. As it has to be booked in advance, it's best to come early enough to take the time to prepare it in the pleasant garden at the back. It's cool, green and a good way to work up an appetite.
