This square is located on the other side of St. Barbara's Church and behind the Church of Our Lady. Although it is close to the main square, it is surprisingly quiet here. In the past, it was used for the trade of products that did not "smell good", mainly meat and fish. The construction of the tramway lines in 1902 marked the end of its commercial vocation. It was here that the Merkuriusz Polski, the oldest Polish newspaper, began to be printed in 1661.

C'est un petit marché. Cependant, ce nom est utilisé de nos jours.
Pendant des siècles, cet endroit a été déterminé de différentes manières en fonction de la période et de la destination de cette région.
Monuments sur la place du petit marché:
- Eglise de Sainte Barbara - un temple gothique où Piotr Skarga a prêché
- Maison, Mały Rynek 7 - Un immeuble du 14ème siècle avec une cour intérieure,
des galeries en bois du 17ème siècle et une façade baroque tardive du 18ème siècle.
- Maison le Szoberowska , Mały Rynek 6 - C'est ici qu'en 1661 fut imprimé le premier journal polonais "Merkuriusz Polski".
- Maison de Lamellich, rue Mikołajska 2 - un immeuble gothique, relié au XVIIe siècle à un voisin par un riche marchand italien,
Lamelli.
- La maison de Fritsch, Mały Rynek 1 - un immeuble gothique reconstruit plus tard dans le style baroque
