A true return to the past for this restaurant with its well thought-out decoration. It's like being invited by a distant family. Wall frames, vintage wallpaper and dark rooms but open to the outside, so enjoying natural light in summer. The menu is composed of tasty dishes but the quantity leaves a little to be desired. The homemade lemonade is of excellent quality and the wine list is interesting. We will come here especially to enjoy a beer accompanied by Jewish-inspired tapas. A real beautiful address, warm and frequented by local youth.

This is a small restaurant with an inordinate charm. Its room with red wallpaper, enamelled with Zille's paintings and smelling fresh flowers arranged in vases between the candles that light the room creates a fantastic "entre-soi". The food is also very good, mainly Polish specialties: herring tartar, potato and bacon soup, bacon canapés and pickles. Vodka is offered as an after-dinner drink. Live music on Wednesdays from 8pm and Fridays from 9:30pm. A place with a very good quality/price ratio.

New on the place du grand marché, this restaurant seduces first of all by its modern and neat setting, its beautiful volumes and its warm grey tones enhanced by rich fabrics. But it is the cuisine that is the most important here. Delicate, sophisticated, gastronomic. We fall in love with its seasonal dishes made from fresh farm-to-table products and from sustainable agriculture (a rare gesture in Poland that we must salute). Even if this establishment has seduced the local critics, it has not yet received the international Michelin award, so enjoy it.

Lake Morskie is one of the natural wonders of the nearby Tatra mountain range. One is a little less surprised then to discover the grandiose setting of a mountain chalet in the large basement, consisting of a dozen vaulted cellars that make up this restaurant. The atmosphere and flavors of the Tatra mountains are very much present here. Rustic furniture, waitresses in traditional costumes, live traditional music and delicious grilled game, nothing is missing but the pure air of the altitude.

In recent years, the restaurant has suffered from its success and one has the impression that one is paying more for the setting than for an original meal.

Excellent service and cuisine. Setting, crockery, music and shape of the waiters to medieval fashion. Absolutely to order a plate for 2 people, the szaszlyk (kebabs) or the duck: a whole ceremonial surrounds them with shots of axe and sabre!

Kogel Mogel is the Polish version of eggnog, the winter drink that was particularly common in the country during the Soviet era. This restaurant therefore adopts a retro vintage style, reminiscent of the high-end restaurants of the 1970s nomenklatura. In contrast, the menu, full of references to the communist era, presents the dishes of the Polish proletariat and, in fact, the food is truly delicious. The meals, as at home, are preceded by their basket of pickles, bread and lard.

The restaurant of the Japanese Art Museum has been the reference of Japanese cuisine in town since its opening. It's more about culinary fusion than gargantuan portions, with a consequent attention to detail and flavors that pay off on the plate. The place is very popular with locals, but not so much with tourists, who have not yet appropriated one of the best terraces on the Vistula, overlooking the Wawel hill. It is also a very good tea room with pleasant desserts.

A restaurant with a strong character, very popular with Krakow's wealthy youth. On the spot, with its bay windows, beige benches leaning against the wall, vertical metal and glass panel and lounge music mixing with lively discussions, you only have to close your eyes to imagine yourself in the bustling metropolis of New York, or in a modern Parisian neighborhood. The excellent cuisine specializes in butchery, with excellent tripe and other meat dishes. No surprises, it is Michelin listed.

If you're looking for an authentic dining experience you've come to the right place. This small, family-run cafe (depending on the time of day, you can even set up by yourself rather than waiting for someone to set you up) serves good homemade Polish food prepared in advance with fresh ingredients. Less crowded with tourists, it is still quite popular with Poles and students, so try to arrive before 2pm, otherwise the choice will be smaller. Recommended for a taste of the real Poland.

«Hamsa Hummus & happines Israeli retrobar» is located in a former Mikveh (Jewish ritual bath) alongside the Jewish bookshop, it is a orientalisant restaurant with copious cuisine. Rather Israeli dishes than "kazimierziens": …, labnah, hummus, babaganush… A place in the wind, with a kind of "globalized Jewish revivalisme" and quite amazing! Moreover, which Jew would it have believed 25 years ago?

Hidden in a kind of kitsch cellar in a rustic peasant style (and decorated with Polish bric-à-brac), this restaurant will satisfy the most starving. Soups, pierogi, placki (potato cakes) drowned in goulash… here you will find the best dishes a Polish mammoth could prepare for you. Of course, the portions are pantagruelic.

A restaurant well placed at the foot of the Wawel Hill, its atmospheric room with exposed brick and beams, as well as old family photos hanging on the walls create a friendly appearance to the establishment. Here you can find excellent traditional Polish cuisine, i.e. a "country" variant particularly rich in meat and game dishes. The meal is preceded by a traditional appetizer for this kind of restaurant, made of bread and lard (but without pickles), offered by the house.

On the Rynek, this traditional Polish restaurant remains a lesser known address and therefore less deviated than all those with a street and terrace. Its rustic decoration colored in white and red on the theme of traditional weddings, but also for its generous and copious cuisine at reasonable prices make it an always pleasant address in the heart of the city. Another of its advantages is its beautiful view of the square from the^first floor. The restaurant has several vegetarian options on its menu.

For a meal on the thumb, bagels for all tastes: sandwich with tuna, salmon, salad, garlic, cheese cream, sweet bagels, tapas bagels… We also eat soups, salads and tortillas.
