"Long ago in Kazimierz..." is a restaurant with an atmosphere immersed in the Jewish past of Kazimierz. Good Jewish cuisine in an enchanting and exotic setting that aims to reproduce the atmosphere of the old stores and workshops of the early twentieth century. Its facade is still decorated with the signs of yesteryear and the windows, like the interior, display the products of an era lost during the war. The food is good (breakfast is served until 1am) and there are often Klezmer concerts for dinner. We highly recommend it.

Qu'il fait sombre dans ce restaurant: nous avons utilisé notre téléphone pour éclairer la carte! De plus, notre table était située à côté de la porte des toilettes, sans sas: pas terrible la vue directe… Sinon, la déco est sympa, tout de bric et de broc. Mais il faudrait faire le ménage un peu plus souvent. Le personnel était correct sans plus car sans aucune attention particulière pour la clientèle. Quand à la nourriture, nous avons essayé plusieurs plats mais assez décevants, un peu fade, surtout la saucisse d'agneau accompagné de couscous. Un des atouts est le prix, mais nous avons trouvé mieux à Cracovie...

In the center of the Jewish quarter Kazimierz, this restaurant wants to recreate the pre-war spirit. Outside the windows are decorated as old boutiques. On the inside, too. Some night there's live klezmer. The quality of the kitchen is acceptable. The pleasant whole. The restaurant is small, it's better to book.
