Housed in one of the three former gas tanks built in the city center between 1860 and 1890, the Planetarium opened its doors on February 18, 1994, the 521st anniversary of Copernicus' birth. It seats 150 people. Under a 15-meter-diameter dome, documentary films on the universe and astronomy are projected. A new interactive installation, the Mars Base, is a modern and fun way to learn about the challenges of space colonization. Please note that it is currently only available in Polish.
