The museum is housed in Hel's oldest Gothic church, a superb red-brick building. The history of the region is seen through the lens of man's relationship with fishing and the sea, presented via antique fishing tackle, as well as old photos and illustrations. The museography is clearly outdated, and the lack of English translations is to be deplored. There's also a small open-air museum showing the various fishing boats. From the observation tower, you'll have a fine view of the whole bay and Hel.
