This small, self-sufficient family farm is located above the canyon, 100 m from the third viewpoint. The Mejia family grows mainly corn, sorghum, frijoles... The farm is solar-powered and water is pumped from a well (filtered drinking water). It's the perfect place to get away from it all. Access from Somoto Canyon is possible with a very good (but muscular!) 4x4, but the idea is to get there on foot (see the description of the viewpoint trail in the section on Somoto Canyon).
