HOTEL FINCA EL PORVENIR

On foot, it takes 10 minutes from the main trail to reach the finca, which enjoys a unique location at the foot of the volcano. The place is equipped with solar lighting in the evening, the garden is full of flowers and a few petroglyphs decorate this little backpacker spot. A path leads up to the Maderas volcano. Hearty local breakfast for US$5. What's more, the finca has a lovely restaurant-bar where you can linger over a beer: the view embraces the entire Concepción volcano. It's simply magnificent!
