CATEDRAL DE GRANADA

The imposing, colorful cathedral is not very old, the original having been destroyed by Walker in 1856. The new building was erected from 1880 onwards and was almost completed in 1910, to plans by Italian architect Andres Zapata, and after a number of setbacks (lack of funds, construction defects, etc.). The final touches were made in 1972. Its magnificent yellow facade and orange domes make it one of Granada's most famous buildings, and one that can be seen from far and wide in the surrounding area. Not to be missed.
