This is the local Hard Rock Café, all in hard blue. Young people enjoy pizza and beer in harmony with the rock music. The restaurant boasts the best burgers in town. The place turns into a disco on Fridays and Saturdays. You can sit on 3 levels at tables of varying sizes and in slightly different atmospheres. The place is rather young, animated, nice to start the evening. We may prefer to go and dance elsewhere because even at the end of the week, the atmosphere is not that of a club.

At the end of the main street, Ølhallen means beer hall. It is the pub of the northernmost brewery in the world, but also the oldest pub in Tromsø. Here seal hunters used to come and tell their stories, now every Friday it is the place where the locals have to go for debauchery. In the heart of the old stones, the atmosphere is hushed and the pints are well filled. The walls pay homage to Henry Rudi, the famous polar bear hunter. The tavern atmosphere of the brick walls makes the place more than warm.

A very nice place inside, almost chic. A long bar is on the right as you come in, the subdued atmosphere will invite you to settle down in one of the sofas located on small bleachers. One comes there rather well dressed, without overdoing it. The evening starts out softly and then turns into an afterwork until, on the weekend, the DJ gets on the decks and gets the whole room moving to all kinds of tunes. In the summer you can enjoy the terrace overlooking a lively street in the city centre. A good place to get a taste of the nightlife.

An excellent restaurant with a varied menu inspired by French cuisine. The interior is chic, leather benches, flowery upholstery and pretty chandeliers. Hard to imagine that this place turns into one of the most atypical and frequented nightclubs of the city, on Friday and Saturday evenings! In a vast restored wooden building, a young clientele comes to party on weekends. Atmosphere assured, for those under 25 years old. The place also has a wine and beer bar, for those who would like to spend a good evening, perhaps a little quieter.

Opened by a group of happy friends, this is the café adjoining the 1916 cinema: one of our favourite addresses with events all week long, intimate concerts and DJs in the evening. Quality films are offered and the same goes for concerts. See the program online or directly on the spot, ask for it the^first day of your arrival! A large choice of vinyl records is available to listen to the music of your choice. On Thursday evening, they also serve good home-made dishes, tapas and sandwiches. Good spirit and nice decoration.

This second-hand café is housed in the old building, which used to be the editorial office of the oldest newspaper in Tromsø. Today, locals come to eat foccacia or homemade soup at lunchtime, sitting on school chairs or upholstered armchairs, in the coffee corner at the entrance or in the spacious and bright room a little higher up. A really nice place, for all budgets and where you eat in beautiful mismatched dishes.

Tromsø and Bodø have always fought for the title of capital of the Great North, even today! The story goes that the inhabitants of Bodø, seeking to distinguish themselves, said to Tromsø, a town without train service, "at least we can have a drink at the station café! And so Tromsø created its own "station café". A popular bar, where you sit on train seats, sipping your beer to the rhythm of the wacky announcements on the loudspeakers. A stone's throw from the port, the Agenturet is an elegant bar. Cosy atmosphere lit by candles, around the bar with exposed stones. It is in a building dating from 1840, that you come to drink good wine and good beers. About 120 different beers and 250 wines to choose from, in other words, enough to satisfy amateurs as well as connoisseurs. Meals are served from 11am to 6pm, everything is home made. The prices are quite reasonable and the team is very friendly and smiling. A place from which one leaves completely satisfied and full!

This very nice tea house is located only 15 minutes drive from Tromsø. It is a family business that has taken over an old fishing building built by the grandfather and renovated by the granddaughter into a café/brocante. The cuisine offered consists of 100% home-made local specialities. You can also buy decoration, small furniture and also clothes. Beautiful place with its feet in the water.
